Mr. Mey Samith, Executive Director of PPCIL, was attended in the Regional Workshop on the Amman-Berlin Declaration following the Post Global Disability Summit (GDS) and the Training Course Module 2 on Bridge CRPD-SDGs, which will be held from October 10 to 19, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Post-GDS Regional Workshop was held on 10th and 11th October 2025 at the Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok, Thailand. Building on the outcomes of the National Workshop held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, this regional-level engagement aimed to advance the understanding and practical implementation of the Amman Berlin Declaration and GDS 2025 commitments through regional collaboration, cross-country learning, and coordinated action. The workshop served as a pivotal space for dialogue between OPDs, governments, development actors, and international agencies, fostering peer learning, sharing of good practices, and collective reflection on strategies for translating global commitments into regional and national actions. It also reinforced the momentum generated through the GDS process, while providing a platform for participants to identify priorities, address implementation barriers, and strengthen partnerships for disability inclusive development across Asia.
